The Superbeings by John Randall Price

Price suggests we are here as humans for one purpose: to find our way back to God. He provides ways to do this. This is a classic in the spirituality/metaphysical library, a book as relevant today as when it was published in 1981. I continue to be amazed, and I guess I shouldn't, that we knew so much over 20 years ago. While new information comes to light each year, and we find new tools to help, there is a validity and truth in this book.I continue to wonder if we are learning, or are we just reprocessing information and not growing from it. I am as guilty as anyone of the continual search. I like the saying I read recently that at some point we must stop "seeking" and accept that we have found the answers. I'm sensing that time is now. No longer can we just intellectualize our spirituality and be content in our continual quest. Soon we must come to terms with our own Truth, what we know we must do, and then just do it. Sacred study and practice can continue, as long as they
are combined with an equal amount of sacred action.Price provides practical suggestions. He points out that the power of the universe can work through us only when "it finds a consciousness that is in tune with its nature." Our job is to be sure our consciousness is open and in harmony with nature. "God can only do for you what He can do through you. God is Your Higher Self." That can't be done by reading. That must be done by living. And that living must not just be an emotional response to life. Living is about transcending, not ignoring, our emotions by reacting differently to our daily encounters. If we begin to look at our lives from the vantage point of our Higher Self, our God within, we might find a different response. We can want to be healthier, wealthier and more fulfilled, because we help the world when we help ourselves. We do this by raising our vibrations and becoming lighter. Price believes that the "power of the light...is slowly righting the earth, correctin
g the tilt, and bringing it into balance." From that vantage point, humans are evolving. Again, Price knew this, as did so many others, over 20 years ago. What have we, as individuals, done to live better in that time?Price points out that raising our vibrations is more than just positive thinking. We must learn to work with the Power and Energy of the universe to expand our consciousness. He reminds us of the universal law of Cause and Effect: We are what we think. We need to think better thoughts. He provides ways to do that:Determine what you really want.Accept the fulfillment of your desires.Combine your intellectual awareness and your feelingsBalance your mind and your heartDo not be concerned with how desire is to be fulfilled; just state it.Be filled with gratitude that your desires are already fulfilledBe active; don't just sit around waiting. Is this new information? No. Is it still valuable and real? Absolutely. Perhaps now we can begin to be serious and incorporate
this into our lives. Raising our vibrations is the way to change our lives and the world. Price knows that. We know that. We just need to do it.
