The FSA offers the following types of loans: 1. Subsidized Stafford Loans. These loans are for students with financial need as determined by federal regulations. Before receiving your first Direct Loan, you must sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) that you'll get from your school or from the Department. You may be able to complete the application and MPN online; check with your school's financial aid office.
