"The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way To Wealth" by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen is a unique and interesting book on the concept of money and creating wealth. It's not really a business book, but rather a nice "feel good" book about money concepts. For motivation, it is a good book. For idea generation, to get you thinking about things, it is also a good book. It's just not going to be as pie-in-the-sky easy to become a millionaire by reading this book as some of the marketing would lead one to believe. With that said, I did enjoy reading it, as I enjoyed reading the sequel, "Cash in a Flash, and other books by these two authors. The most unique and interesting part of the book is that it is written as two books at once. On the left hand side, you find a traditional "how to" book type format. These left hand pages provide the authors' advice on becoming what they call "enlightened millionaires." On the right hand side, with a purple border, you find the st
ory of Michelle. On these pages, it reads like a simple novel, or story, and tells the tale of a down on her luck woman who needs to make money fast to save her two children. The division in this manner is creative, but may be difficult or even irritating for some readers. To prevent this, you can read through all the purple pages first, reading the story, and then go back and read the left hand pages for the non-fiction lessons. The authors say they wrote it this way to address two kinds of learning so that the reader could fully integrate the lessons. Personally, I found it unique and interesting and enjoyed the story, and liked the non-fiction parts as well. The story illustrates how the woman, Michelle, uses the principles to create wealth so she won't lose her children. The principles discussed in the non-fiction chapters include: Millionaire Ahas, Leverage, Mentors, Teams, Networks, Infinite Networks, Skills and Tools, Systems, Real Estate, and Business. If you are fami
liar with the two authors, you most likely have heard about these topics before. There is some good stuff here, and I would not just dismiss it quickly off hand. But it isn't actually a blueprint to riches either.Again, it is a quick read and entertaining. It is motivating and contains a feel good story. I think the best thing about the book is that it can get the reader thinking about possibilities, and that is always one of the first steps toward creating greatness and achieving abundance. For that, this book does a very good job and I found it worth reading and enjoyable.
