How a Stephen King Horror Helps Health

Every now and then, I get one; The Ten O'Clock People. And when I do, I remember those monsters lurking in the city of Stephen King's fantasy.Let me explain. I am a stop smoking hypnotist and EFT tapping practitioner. When an ex-smoker-to-be tells me they have recently cut down their smoking, vivid images of Stephen King's tale come to mind. I like Horror and Mr King is particularly good at it. And it amuses me to get these flashes of my client seeing these monsters that no-one else can see, solving the mystery and hearing that wonderful tale again, as I reading it for the first time. The Ten O'Clock people is about a group of aliens who are infiltrating into the city and taking over the earth. They have goulish faces and are true monsters. However, humans do not see them, because they have disguised themselves as ordinary people. But, and this is the exciting part, a minority of office workers who are cutting down on their smoking do see them, due to a chemical imbalance cau
sed by the reduction of nicotine! Our hero starts off smoking at ten o'clock and sees one. He initially thinks he is suffering as a result of cutting down his intake of cigarettes, some kind of withdrawal, because nobody else can see them. Then he finds others who can see them; other Ten O'Clock People. It is a fascinating Horror revolving around the phenomenon of office workers going outside at ten o'clock for a smoke.Anyway, I was so fascinated by this fantasy that I wrote an article about it. And would you believe; it became one of my three most popular articles! And it brought people to finding out about stopping smoking. And so...This Stephen King Horror helps health!Horror is not such a bad thing, then! Of course, I would never subject a child to a Horror film or story, nor would I allow a child I am taking care of to watch or read it. And I certainly would not recommend Horror to an anxious person. Otherwise, through Horror, we often process our fears and let them go,
even if temporarily. The monster can be whatever we are worried about; anything from a noisy neighbour to an unexpectedly large bill.Horror can also give us hope. It is comforting to know that although we battle with monsters sometimes in our lives, good always wins over evil. Except of course when there is a sequel to follow. But then again that is a whole other story!
