Simple Troubleshooting Tips For Missing Or Corrupt HP Printer Drivers

Having problems with your HP Printer? This is a common headache, but fortunately, not a difficult issue. You can even solve this on your own without having to bring it in to a computer shop.
There are 3 main avenues you can try to solving your HP printer driver  problems. First, every printer comes with a driver. You need to check for updates even if you just bought your printer. This is because there's no way of knowing how long that printer was on the shelf. There could have been more than a couple of updates that were released since that model was first introduced.
One way of doing this is by visiting the HP website and sorting through their hundreds of driver updates for one on your HP printer. Make sure you get the exact model number so that what you download will be what you need.
Another option would be to check your connecting wires - this would be your connection ports, USB, printer port, or fire wire. You can try using the wires on other devices and see if they work to test the cables or port. Most PCs have at least 3 USB ports and options to add, so if one port is not working, shift to another.
Your third option would be to reformat your computer. This will remove all the registry errors from previous installs, and you can start from a clean slate. Of course, you should copy or move your important files to an external drive or CD before you do this.
Sometimes it's not an HP printer problem, so eliminating all the other possibilities will help determine and hopefully, find the cause of the problem.
