So, to many kids these days, sports are everything. What is one common theme in all of them? To become great, one needs to become better than everyone else. To be stronger, faster and quick witted are all part of the package in dominating in whatever sport. Optimists will say, "No it's all about the team effort." Sure, that's true too but the team is only strong as it's weakest link and what if you are the weakest link in that team? And to be real, I'm a realist, who doesn't want to be better than everyone else. Who doesn't want to be able to dunk a ball and see the astounded faces of people in the crowds. So in this installment of my reviews, I am going to review a book that has made worlds of difference in many athletes as well as myself. This book is centered for athletes that want to improve their vertical jump(especially vertical), speed/quickness and overall athleticism. As I was scouring the internet for books on becoming a better athlete I stumbled upon this interestin
g little gem. I spent hundreds of hours and money on looking for books that could increase my speed and vertical. So if you have a lot of money to spend and too lazy to read this little review and want to try out the other books first, go and try the others.... Let me say right now, I literally did half the work that was expected of me in the program and I was able to increase my vertical by 2-3 inches in only a month.Luke Lowrey is the author of this book and when I came upon the sales page...I read through the sales hype...all of it...all the great comments and the like. It was quite interesting... I'm usually really skeptical when it comes to buying things, cause hey, I'm asian and I don't like spending my money on things that aren't worth it, but then again who does? I'm going to be brutally honest..the only downfall of this book is the cost, which as of right now is $297 but let me say that it's well worth the investment if you're determined and looking to become bette
r in almost any type of sport. It supposedly is supposed to rise to a much higher price in the future.Right when I got the book, The Vertical Project, I was amazed by the bonus features that it contained. There is this one bonus, which I can't say, that really increases your vertical dramatically, if done right and don't occur any injuries. The other bonuses where just as good and worthwhile reading and implementing in the training. He also gives his buyers free updates when a new version comes out. When this book was written, it was written well...really well. The point that most other programs fail to remember is that not every athlete is the same but this program compensates for that in that it tailors the training to your athletic ability. It's very thorough in explaining everything. This isn't for the vertical gaining enthusiasts. You're paying about $3oo and it gives you that amount of good info (you get what you pay for). It starts by telling you how to create and imp
lement the right diet during training, the right way to recover, in this book called the "Window Plan" and last but not least he gives the training schedule as well as a chart to follow, all depending on what your skill level is.I don't really have to say more except to invest the money in this program and stick to the training schedule that it gives you. Again, you can spend 20-30 dollars on the other cheaper vertical jump programs but they won't give the results as this program does. He even gives you a solid guarantee that this program will work. Most programs guarantee things but this one is one worth trusting.Pros--Tons of extras - who doesn't like extras?-The exercise AND recovery program is suited for YOU-the information is invaluable (helps with overall health)Cons--A bit pricey but worth it-A bit of reading but if you're serious about your goals, reading shouldn't be a factorOverall If I had to give this book a grade it'd be around a 97%. The only downfall is that
it is a little pricey and bit of a length to read, but again well worth it. Good Luck and don't forget to actually go and USE the program-
