Lanier LD-135 – Console Type Copy Machine

With included scanning and printing features and optional fax accessories, the Lanier LD-135 is a copy machine that has held its value since its creation in 2004. Operating at high print speeds with a variety of expandability options, this old Lanier is a great choice for those looking for a customizable machine, who don't necessarily need the absolute latest and greatest.
While the Lanier LD-135 operates at a print speed of up to 35 pages per minute, and can copy at this speed as well, there is also a variation on the model, the Lanier LD-145, that boosts the print speed up to 45 pages per minute for an increase in price. Other than the speed difference, the two models are the same, and have the same catalogue of powerful finishers, connectivity options, and other expansion hardware.
A 125 sheet capacity 1 bin exit tray can be added, as well as dual 500 sheet paper trays that include a system stand. A large capacity additional tray is also available and can hold an extra 1,500 sheets of paper. Three finishers are available for the Lanier LD-135 and include a simple 1,000 sheet finisher with 50 sheet stapling, a large 2,000 sheet capacity finisher that also staples up to 50 sheets and can 2 and 3 hole punch as well, and a 1,000 sheet booklet finisher with four positions and a saddle stitch option for professional looking results.
Also optional for both units is a fax module that includes a 33.6 Kbps fax modem that is compatible with G3, and an additional 12 MBs of internal memory which can be upgraded to a total of 44 MBs of fax memory. The unit's scanning speed is actually quite remarkable, clocking in at only 0.3 seconds, making the unit easily competitive with today's fax machines.
Group dials can be programmed and can hold up to 500 numbers per group for up to 100 groups. With so much digital number storage, the Lanier LD-135 is ideal for the business that often sends out mass faxes. Other special fax features include confidential reception, 30 special reception numbers, dual access, 100 standard user codes, 500 optional user codes, and duplex reception which allows double sided faxes to be replicated in their original format.
Basic copy functions operate at a resolution of up to 600 x 600 dots per inch with a first copy out time of 4.5 seconds. The faster model, the Lanier LD-145, can pull off a 3.6 second copy time. Warm up time rests at a comfortable 15 seconds, while a built in 20 GB hard disk / document server allows for massive internal storage of commonly used data, which can then be accessed directly from the machine.
Along with paper expansion options, standard paper supplies are fairly sufficient and consist of two 500 sheet paper trays and a 50 sheet bypass tray. The Lanier LD-135 is certainly no spring chicken, but its acceptable features should still be able to accommodate the needs of a small office.
