Hp Laserjet 3055 – Four In One Device With Wired Ethernet

The HP LaserJet 3055 is a four in one multifunctional device that successfully combines print, copy, scan, and fax features into a single, space saving device, and does so without sacrificing the integrity of the individual components. With a high print speed and a built in ADF, this device is designed to effectively save the small office both money, and space.
Printing at speeds of up to 19 pages per minute on letter sized paper is not a problem for the HP LaserJet 3055, which comes with full compatibility with most common print languages including HP PCL5e, HP PCL6, and HP postscript level three, meaning it can operate on virtually any modern computer or network setup.
For a single computer, wired setup, a USB 2.0 port is present in the hardware, while small offices and households can take advantage of the device's standard 10/100 TCP/IP networking card and Ethernet port for complete network access.
Copying comes at a speed that matches printing, and HP's instant on technology delivers a low first page out time of only 8 seconds so, even when making copies, down time is set to a minimum. Copy quality tops out at a 600 x 600 dot per inch resolution with a 24 bit depth, while convenient, dedicated copy controls are available at the touch of a button, and without the use of a PC.
Settings include contrast, resolution copy quality (such as draft, text, photo, etc.), copy collation, number of copies, and paper size. Reduction and enlargement options are also selectable at degrees of 25% up to 400% in single percentage increments, or in pre-programmed specific increments.
64 MBs of built in memory should keep even mixed text and graphics moving along at top speed, while the on board 264 MHz processor interprets data even from multiple sources at a business friendly rate. Unfortunately, HP has not included a memory expansion option for the product.
A scan option is available at a very high resolution of 1200 x 1200 optical, and an interpolated mode is also selectable for amazingly clear scans of up to 19,200 dots per inch. Like the copy machine, the scanner is also operational via dedicated buttons via an automatic send to feature, and finer controls are selectable via a connected PC.
Paper handling comes in the form of a 250 sheet standard input tray for letter or legal sized paper, and a small, 10 sheet priority slot for thicker, and oddly sized media. Again, sadly, the paper storage capacity is non expandable, but the device does include a 50 sheet automatic document feeder which will prove to be essential when moving large quantities of input product for copying or scanning.
Unlike the HP LaserJet 3055's sister model, the HP LaserJet 3052, it comes complete with a fax modem, meaning high speed faxes are not made easy, even in large quantities due to the help of the ADF. With all four of the prime office appliances combined into a single device, the HP LaserJet 3055 is definitely a cost effective option for the small business.
