What is LCD and Where Are They Used?
With technology today at its finest most of us wants to experience it firsthand. LCD or Liquid Crystal Display is used in notebooks, TV's and computer monitors. Not like the older form of it the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube), LCD's consumes less energy and display more vibrant colors. I for one have 3 LCD monitors for my desktop PC's and 1 notebook. I stop using my CRT monitors as soon as I've found out about LCD.
PROBLEMS OCCURS
I myself as user of LCD technology I inevitably stumbled upon one its problems. The LCD for my notebook has a crack like line in the middle of the screen. So what I did was brought the laptop to Hp Center (my laptop is HP) and felling secured that it would get repaired without any problem at all. Although my notebook is still under warranty, they said that I need to pay for a new replacement for the Screen as it was likely that it was the users fault, maybe it has fallen from a table or something like that.
You Need To Pay
So there I was asking myself did I drop my notebook somewhere. I don't remember a time that I did. Setting that aside I just want my notebook to be repaired. I need to pay $300 for new a LCD screen. I said what the heck! Why is it so expensive? They said simple because LCD screen are very expensive and they can't repair it. I bought my laptop for $800 now I have to pay $300? No way am I going to pay for it.
My Solution
So I search the internet for information why they wouldn't repair it and what has caused the problem in the first place. $300 is way too much for me. Luckily I found a good site that had help me all the way taught me everything I should know about LCD and the how to's of it like repairing if it gets damage. By weeks time believe it or not I repaired my screen all by myself and I spent less than $50 bucks. I really learned so much in a little amount of time I still couldn't believe it that I repaired it myself.
