We sure hear a lot about the need for balance these days, don't we? Well, in case you are trying to figure it all out, and get yourself to a better place, perhaps you need to do a little personal reading on the topic? If so, let me recommend an excellent book to you:"The Balanced Life; Achieving Success in Work and Love," Alan Loy McGinnis (also author of the "Friendship Factor," which I also recommend highly); Augsburg Fortress Publishers, Minneapolis MN, (1997); ISBN: 0-8066-3570-3.The major chapters in this book are quite fitting indeed; Commitment, Discipline, Collaboration, Adaptability, and the Conclusion. This is one of the most motivational self help category books that I've read in a long time, and I'd recommend it to everyone. The author doesn't hold any punches and tells it straight, as he explains that it's going to take hard work, strength and an inner commitment to succeed at anything you do in life.He explains how you have to dump bad habits and get the show on
the road, and how you might need to change your friends to succeed as well. Indeed all the advice is pretty straight forward and relatively right on target. If you follow the concepts and strategies in this book; you will be successful, you will accomplish your goals, and you will achieve all that you set out to do in life.Of course, the author warns that it's going to take more than lip service. So, if you want to read a great self-help book that will lay down the laws of love and work and maintaining a balanced life then this is definitely the right book for you to read. Please consider all this.
