Ascended Masters Discuss Spiritual Healing

The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard contains a deeply moving chapter on healing the sick. Very early on in the book we are introduced to two ascended masters who capture our attention with these words, "During our exchanges you will also find out what you really are; how you got here, exactly why you and all other people behave and feel the way you do; why the universe keeps repeating the same patterns over and over again; why people get sick..." p.18 The two ascended masters go on to say they will teach us the only meaningful solution to all these things and how to apply it. These ambitious teachers promise to share the absolute truth without holding anything back. Here is an impossibly brief outline of what they said.Healing is an exercise in the power of the mind. Further, all healing is the result of some kind of forgiveness. The basis of this teaching is non-dualism - the idea that God is the only reality and the world we see with our eyes is an illusion. In
tense guilt drives our belief in a world apart from God. The guilt over the idea of separation from God may be conscious or unconscious. It not only caused the big bang but continues to drive the world we see. All illness is ultimately a reflection of this guilt.Forgiveness is the medicine. A true spiritual healer helps remove guilt from the mind of the patient. This may not seem like a cure for someone in pain who has no idea about guilt or the power of the mind. The healer helps the patient remove the idea of guilt or unworthiness and replaces it with innocence and forgiveness.According to The Disappearance of the Universe the decision to be sick is made by our minds on a larger level. We can get in touch with our power to choose, and this will influence how we feel more than any other factor.When Jesus healed a man in the Book of Mark, he spoke words that seemed vaguely out of place when I heard them for the first time, "Your sins are forgiven." The man did not ask for fo
rgiveness. Jesus was apparently removing the idea of guilt and replacing it with the idea of innocence that brought healing through forgiveness. And it worked.
