James Patterson does it again. His much-loved character of Dr. Alex Cross, Profiler and Psychologist, is back on the Job. Teamed up with his childhood buddy, Sampson, and new love Detective Brianna Stone, Alex is pitted against a new psychotic killer and an old nemesis. The two killers are entwined, but have their own agendas, which really makes for two storylines. Of course, Dr. Cross is the main target for both as he leaves his "normal" life again and heads into the police scene. Along the way, family issues and romantic entanglements keep the good doctor hopping. After all, being a single dad is not easy, especially when you have psychotic people following your every move!Very well written, as all James Patterson books are. I am a huge fan of the fast paced, can't put down, genre that he favors. What I find particularly interesting is the psychotic side of the grisly murders. Apparently there is a portion of society that actually finds this worthy of fanfare, and follows t
he killers. Fan clubs for serial killers- what is the world coming too? Its like too much reality television- what is real and what is good for the audience. If you are a fan of police thrillers, mysteries, and solving murders- this is the book for you. In fact, all of the Dr. Alex Cross books are for you!Check out the Women's Murder Club series as well. The main characters are a group of diverse women friends that help each other solve crimes. You know, "it takes a village"... why not a group of women to solve murders and crime?
