I'm a huge Millionaire Matchmaker fan, so when I saw that Patti Stanger published a book, I immediately bought it. If you're a fan of her show, you might be disappointed that the book is not targeted to the females seeking highly successful men audience. But I think that's a positive point about the book. She gives sound and practical advice on general dating-which would be applicable to any woman seeking guidance on finding the right man.The book discusses 8 steps in finding the right mate-all of which I believe are extremely helpful. I look back at some of my past relationships, and wish I had some of her advice back then. One of her most helpful tips I found was in step four, qualifying the buyer. She suggests coming up with 5 non-negotiables-must have qualities you are looking for in a mate-laminating them on card and carrying that card with you at all times. I've done that, and it's very good advice because it forces you to only consider men who meet your needs.Another h
elpful tip she gives is in only investing a year of your time in a relationship. If marriage is your ultimate goal, and you don't see things headed that way as you get closer to the year mark, it may be time to move on. Very wise advice, as some women spend way too much time on dead-end relationships. Overall, the book is right on point, informative and entertaining, written in Patti's no-nonsense voice. This is a must read for those wanting a relationship that leads to marriage.
