Wealth Building and the Mutual Fund - Book Review

There are many investors who believe the Mutual Fund is dead, but that's hardly true. Yes, after the global financial meltdown the stock market did pull back about 45% and leave all those investors of mutual funds feeling sorry for themselves. But most of their accounts are up again, that is if they did not sell out at the bottom. And the market will return, it always does, just like the quote; "what goes up must come down."If you'd like to learn more about these types of funds and have a better fundamental understanding of how they work, why they work, and which ones work the best, then I certainly like to recommend an extremely excellent book that I own to you. The name of the book is;"The hundred best Mutual Funds," by Gordon J. Williams.Although this book is an older book, it's definitely a good one and many of the company still exists, but most have merged and/or the funds have closed and only a couple still exist nearly 10 years later. Interesting indeed, and yet, the b
iggies like Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, American funds, Janus funds, and others are still alive and well. In fact, there are many mutual funds that have made incredible amounts of money this year even though the recession is barely returning to normal and putting us back into a business expansion period. It is my hope that before you will completely ditch the Mutual Fund for perhaps an ETF or some other investment vehicle, that you re-think your strategy and talk to a financial planner, who can explain the differences, and why you should be invested in mutual funds. It is my sincere hope that you will please consider all this and think on it.
