The Everything Blogging Book - Book Review

I just finished reading "The Everything Blogging Book" by Aliza Risdahl. As a professional blogger and owner of a popular blog network, I like to stay current on all of the books that are published on the topic of blogging. I had high expectations because this was part of the "Everything" publishing series, and I am happy to report that this book does not disappoint. I give this book a 9 out of 10 on a 10 point scale.This is a great read for anybody who is unfamiliar with what a blog is and is wondering if blogging is right for them. Let me point out that this book is very basic and is written for the novice blogger. With that being said, I feel it is one of the best beginner blogging resources available. A large chunk of time is devoted to the background information and what to do before starting off. A great deal of time is spent on explaining what a blog is, who is blogging and why blogs are so popular. I really like how the information is presented. The author writes in a
basic, conversational and easy to follow format that is engaging and is easily absorbable.I also like the illustrations, graphs and screenshots, this helps clarify a lot of the information. The book is very complete and thorough, although this is also information that would be helpful to all bloggers, like the chapter on monetization.In closing, I recommend this book to anyone thinking about starting a blog. It will equip you with everything you need to get started and it also focuses on making sure that blogging will be an enjoyable experience for you.
