HP OfficeJet 7210 – User Friendly Color MFC with Front USB

Including user friendly features such as a full range for front memory slots and a front USB port, as well as an easy to read 2 line LDC display, the HP OfficeJet 7210 is convenient to operate as a connected color inkjet printer or stand alone copy and fax machine.
With a variety of front memory slots, pictures can be uploaded to the device directly from a user's camera and then printed without the use of a PC. Cameras with PictBridge capable connectivity can also link directly to the device via the HP OfficeJet 7210's front USB port. Unfortunately, maximum print quality cannot be achieved without the use of a connected host PC. This is due to the OfficeJet's ability to use host based printing to optimize picture quality up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch, while other connected devices top out at 1200 dots per inch.
Print speed is very competitive at 30 pages per minute for black and white and up to 20 pages per minute in color. Additionally, print quality goes beyond just resolution, as the HP OfficeJet 7210 uses ink designed to resist fading for generations. HP even includes their Image Zone software that allows users to enhance and fix problems in photos such as red eye.
Built in Ethernet networking allows connectivity for printing, faxing, copying, and scanning, but, unfortunately, only for a total of five computers at a time. Hands free copying and scanning can be done via the HP OfficeJet 7210's built in 50 page automatic document feeder which can be critical for saving time when dealing with large copy or fax projects.
Using thermal inkjet technology, the HP OfficeJet 7210 can not only print and copy in full color, but execute a color fax as well. Color fax resolution rests at 200 x 200 dots per inch, while black and white faxing can be done up to 300 x 300 dots per inch. A 33.6 Kbps fax modem allows for a transmission speed of up to 3 seconds per page, though complex jobs and color faxes with take considerably longer. Up to 110 speed dials can be stored in the built in fax memory, as well as incoming faxes via a 130 page fax memory.
Oversized media can be printed via custom paper settings as big as 8.5 in x 24 in, while small paper or index cards are also compatible, as small as 3 in x 5 in. Copy and scan sizes are limited to just above standard legal paper thanks to the 8.5 x 11.7 inch document glass. Interestingly, the HP OfficeJet 7210's standard paper tray is also a multifunctional tray capable of holding up to 150 sheets of letter or legal sized paper, as well as up to 20 envelopes, 30 transparencies, 30 labels, or 30 index cards.
Though the HP OfficeJet 7210 has a limited output capacity, it has an incredible range of versatile features, and is very affordable, making it perfect for those who require a wide array of possibilities at a reasonable price.
