The operating system which is installed on the computer must be missing some files or some files may be corrupt which is causing such problems with your laptop. The operating system has lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the files which is associated to gets corrupt or missing then the operating system will not work properly and will create issues like the one which you are facing. If you have the installation disk of the operating system, then insert it and then boot the system from the disk. Let the installer load and give installation options. Choose the "Repair Windows installation" options and let the procedure complete. Once the Windows installation is repaired, you will not face the same problem.Re: Issues with HP laptop 6700 notebook

The slow system performance can be because of lot of processes which are running in background. All the processes need some CPU and memory usage. If lot of processes are running together then the processor will take long time to process the applications which makes the computer slow. Open the task manager and go to the processes tab. Check all the processes which are running. If there are any unwanted processes which are running in background and taking up lot of memory and CPU usage then terminate such processes and then see if the performance of the notebook improves or not.Re: Issues with HP laptop 6700 notebookCheck if the sound drivers are installed and working properly on the computer. Every device which is connected to the computer requires a set of drivers which are to be installed on the computer. If the appropriate drivers for the device are not installed on the computer then the device will not work properly. To check if the sound drivers are installed and working on the computer, right click on My computer and then click on Manage. Select Device manager from left pane and then highlight the installed sound device on the right pane. If there are any caution signs, follow the troubleshooting procedure. If troubleshooting does not help, then Re: Issues with HP laptop 6700 notebookI suspect that your system is infected by some kind of virus which is creating problems in normal usage of the laptop. Virus's have the tendency of linking with the files of the application or files of the operating system. If such a situation occurs then the application or operating system will not work. Therefore scan the system with an updated antivirus and check all the files which are infected. Repair or quarantine the files which are infected. Once all the infected files are repaired, check if the problem still persists or not. Do not delete any infected files at it may lead to total system failure.Re: Issues with HP laptop 6700 notebookAs the laptop is new it must be covered under warranty. All the functions which are performed by the computer are controlled by motherboard of the computer. If the motherboard of the computer is faulty then the computer will give problems while working. Hence take the laptop to the authorised service center and get it checked. If motherboard of the laptop is faulty, it will be replaced for free if the notebook is under warranty.Reply With Quote
