It can be used in a network, has a built in duplex unit, has a claimed print speed of 20 pages per minute (ppm) and can be bought for roughly £500.}The CP2025dn comes with a 250 page paper tray at the bottom of its front panel with a fold-down, multi-purpose tray opening above it. The control panel, also at the front includes a two line by 16 character LCD display, with a green back-light and five control buttons, to navigate menus and to start or cancel a print job.The back of the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn houses sockets for USB and Ethernet connections. It was easy to set up although it weighs nearly 53 pounds so you may need some help lifting it. It has four low capacity toner cartridges already installed and all you have to do is peel off some tape from them before you plug the machine in. Configuring the printer was straightforward and there were no problems with the network connection. There were no problems getting the software for the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn installed. You just have to insert the accompanying CD into your computer and do what you are told. The printer will work with Windows, Mac and Linux. Drivers are provided for the first two and Linux users can get drivers from HPs website. The four HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn toner cartridges are contained in a single tray that comes out of the front of the machine. The CC530A black toner cartridge should do up to 3,500 pages and the colours, CC531A cyan, CC532A yellow and CC533A magenta, should each do up to 2,800 pages. You can save money when using the printer by using non-HP cartridges which are far less expensive. The print speed of the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn is quite respectable managing 20 pages per minute (ppm) for both mono and colour prints.Print quality is generally good. Black text was crisp and dense and gave a good account of itself on external and internal office documents. Colour prints were also of a high standard and were sharp and vibrant. The quality of photos produced varied with the quality of paper. On 80gm paper prints were disappointing because of dull reds which resulted in inaccurate combinations of colours such as purple together with noticeable banding. Using higher quality paper produced much better results that were exceptional for a printer this cheap. Prints were sharp and detailed with vibrant and accurate colouring. If you are looking for a reasonably priced (about £500), compact colour laser printer that prints high quality documents quickly, then the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn should be on your short list. However if you plan on printing a high volume of colour document you will find it is relatively expensive to run, and good quality photos could only be produced using high quality paper.HP toner cartridges are to be found here.
