Most Common HP Printer and HP Ink Cartridge Problems and Troubleshooting

In the case of HP Printer and HP ink cartridges the problems are those that can easily be solved without making your way to the nearest printer repair center. Troubleshooting HP printer problems is fairly easy. Most problems can be identified and solved quickly and without too much of a bother.Here is a small sampling of the various problems that your HP printer or HP ink cartridge could face.Inability to Find the Correct Printer DriverMany a times, a user does not install the correct driver for the HP Printer. This usually happens when he/she has installed a new operating system. Most operating systems recognize all kinds of printers and then install the required drivers. However, there are some operating systems that will not recognize the printer and a user will have to download the requisite driver. Users at times download the wrong driver or oftentimes are unable to locate the driver. Troubleshooting this problem requires patience and the ability to search online for the driver. You could search for a driver with respect to the brand and model of the printer. This is one of the easier and more successful ways of searching for the perfect driver. Print RefusalAt times your HP Printer will refuse to print. When you try to print or press the print button, all you will get is an error message. The first thing that you must do in this case is not blame the HP printer but look at other simpler reasons. See, if your printer cable is properly connected to the PC and the power source. Another thing to check is the printer settings on your computer. Moreover, if your HP printer is network connected then before blaming the printer you must also check whether those connections are in order. Faded InkAt times, you might still have a partially full printer ink cartridges and yet the printout is not very clear. In point of fact the print out is of a faded quality. It looks like the last few drop of ink in the HP cartridge have been used to print the page. The problem here lies in the head of the HP ink cartridge. It must be clogged with dried ink or dust. You can solve this problem by cleaning the head of the printer. Read the printers manual for specific instructions on the same.Jamming of PaperThis is common enough problem for all printers including HP Printers. This is a result, usually of the machine constructions and the rollers that are present in the different locations. Thus, trapped paper can be removed with difficulty. While removing the paper you must always the pull the paper out as per the normal path of printing. You might just damage the printer if you pull it backwards. Moreover, you must not use excessive force while prying the paper out or you might damage the rollers.
