Fugitive - A Novel by Phillip Margolin - A Book Review

Fugitive - A Novel by Phillip Margolin is one of his best so far. A writer with at least 13 New York Times Bestselling books to his name, Phillip is truly a master in his genre- lawyer crime thrillers. Since the author was formerly a criminal defense attorney, you can be assured that the law concepts in his novels are sound, and the courtroom scenes will be accurate simulations of what happens in real life. The premise of the novel is a very exciting one. Lawyer Amanda Jaffe, who has been the main character in three other novels by this author, takes the leading role once again in this book. She has been assigned a seemingly impossible task, to defend suspected murderer Charlie Marsch. In fear that he will be found guilty, the suspect fled to Africa where he got in trouble for sleeping with a dictator's wife. He then realizes that punishment in America is better than in Africa, where there is no law, but the dictator's. In the meantime, Amanda is struggling through problems and
troubles as she tries to solve Charlie's case. But first, she must find him.If you are searching for a book that is both thrilling and intelligent at the same time, this might be of interest to you. Also, the main character being a lady makes it exciting, in a more adult Nancy Drew sort of way. The next time you're in the mood for a good mystery novel then I highly recommend you get a copy of Fugitive- A Novel by Phillip Margolin.
