"Promises in Death" by JD Robb - Book Review

It is difficult in itself when you lose someone you love but it is even more difficult when you need to tell it to somebody who you know will be devastated with the news. How do you tell someone that somebody they loved so much died? Do you tell it upfront like it's an ordinary occurrence? Although this may be the most difficult and heart-wrenching thing to do, it is something that will force you to discover how complications and special relationships are. This is one of the dilemma of the character of Eve in J.D. Robb's Promises in Death. Eve is tasked to deliver the news of the death of cop to their closest friend.Death happens to all people. No one can escape it. As they say, the only things that humans cannot escape is death and taxes. But even if we know this, when death strikes to us, we stop and feel shocked, as if something that should not happen has just happened. It may be because we hide the thought of death very deep in our minds. We always tell that death happens
but not to us and not to our loved ones.Maybe that is the reason why it is difficult to accept the news of a death of a loved one. One day you are with them. You had the opportunity to show your love to them but as most humans, you become afraid that the gesture will not be returned. There are words that you wanted to say but you weren't able to because you were afraid of feeling awkward. You didn't know that that was the last opportunity to say it. You didn't know that the next thing you see that person will be the day of their burial. This and much much more is in store for you fans and beginner readers Robb.
