Gangster Books Libraries Should Carry

Do you like gangster books or hood books? Are you interested in gangster books that tell a story that takes place in the ghetto? There are a ton of authors that have interesting gangster or ghetto books. There are few new authors that have taken writing to a new level. Like an author by the name of Trete Lo, he takes the approach of Steven King in the hood and rejuvenates you with the Christian spiritual world. I never thought it could work, but horror and spiritual things can coexist with gangster books. Trete Lo's new gangster book is called "Dead Soul, the Realest Story that Ever Lived".More writers are realizing that reading must be just as engaging as your favorite television show. If fiction writers expect to hold a readers attention then they must realize that television is a major part of their competition. Why should a potential reader read one of the many gee(gangster) books when they could see a movie? Gee books have been a rising commodity in the book industry, bu
t still have to contend with television to continue it's escalation.Gee books from people like Terri Woods (Dutch II Angel's Revenge) and fore fathers like Donald Goings (Black Girl Lost) are staying at the top of any gangster book lovers list. Gee Books that include more romance and thug love are getting noticed as readers find that these books have relevance to the gangster books industry. Writers like Zane have made a place in the industry with one of my favorite gangster books called "Nervous." Anyone who reads one of the great gangster books can hardly read just one. These gangster books are highly addictive and very fascinating, partly because they take you to a ghetto that most people admit they are afraid of.I think that's why most white people read gee books because they're so interested in black culture. I believe it's acceptable, I'm black and I've been forced to understand whites through my education. When I say education, I mean my upbringing in the south. Socie
ty has thrown people like Christopher Columbus to George Washington in my face while in turn oppressing people like Charles Drew. It's only right that whites learn about our culture and our history that is taking place right now through our books, entertainment, sports and now our president. Gee books can be educational if you're interested in learning about the ghetto by taking an imaginary trip to the hood. Here's a list of books that won't let you down as being 10 of the best ghetto or gangster books hands down. (In order of Importance)1.) "Dead Soul, The Realest Story that Ever Lived" by Trete Lo2.) "The Candy Shop" by Kiki Swinson3.) "Sexin & Flexin" by K'wan Foye4.)
