Childhood's End

Published in 1953, Sir Arthur C. Clarke's Sci-Fi epic about humans encountering Life outside of Earth is an absolute must read. It will keep you thinking right through to the end (which is the best part). It might even teach you something about the mind's role in the cosmos and the plausible implications of that role for the evolution of the human race.Without revealing too much, the plot has to do with an alien race descending over all Earth's biggest cities and solving all of societies Ill's. The Overlords, as humans would come to know them, want a united human race free from War and Poverty. We can not even begin to comprehend the true intentions until late into the book.. The novel takes place over many years and does not follow any one particular character through the entire book. It will keep you guessing as it has many surprises.Clarke is a master of Science Fiction and never disappoints. It's a shame this book has never been made into a movie even though it most likel
y will as Hollywood searches for bigger and better ideas and this story is certainly an excellent candidate.Don't just take my word for it. Go ahead and read it yourself I guarantee that you shall not be in anyway let down. On a scale from one to a million this particular Novel easily deserves a nine-hundred thousand nine-hundred twenty five.I would recommend this book to people of all ages from all corners of the Earth. Happy Reading!
